WALKING BASEBALL - Do you understand and use it?

A great, time-honored casting-only drill you do alone, and with only 2 large orange bumpers as equipment!

Hi & Welcome to the Board Mr. Graham. I spent the 19 so minutes absolutely amazed at your "Walking Baseball" exercise. Totally new to the World of Labradors or any Retriever breed, so I've never experienced field work between a handler and his partner. Your explanations on are really easy to understand. The terminology, well, all new but I have gotten a gist of what they mean through listening and viewing your retrievers.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Know a Lab is a "thinking" kind of dog, enjoying companionship and a challenge. Really enjoy watching you and your dogs work together.

Thanks so much for the heads up! Appreciate it. Shame all that lost data. When you look at my "Senior Dog" would think I've been here longer than I actually have been. Far from a senior, but more like a pup when it comes to really knowing about what a retriever can really do, other than being a great family pet.

Very interesting. I've not been around hunting retrievers nor been to an event. What I love seeing is the wagging tails, a definite indication of them loving what they are doing and wanting to do it right.

Fran if you ever get the chance to go to a field trial or hunt test do it. Watching these dogs work is truly a sight to behold. I worked one of my Labs on a pheasant shoot when I lived in the UK, and was a volunteer worker at several Lab Club field trial and water tests. Seeing these dogs work and do what they were bred to will bring a smile to your face!!!

You bet! Training for it keeps me smiling! Over 36 years of training at that level, and I'm still amazed at what they can do!
