End of group training until next spring.

Well we've come a long way over this season. She's much steadier now. But we also have a project for the winter. We're going to clean up her whistle-sits which have been better. I think they were pretty good after she went through transition. But all the attention on line manners has let her field behavior slip a little. So we'll have those things to drill in "yard work" (actually "park" work since our actual yard is teeny) over the winter.

I think for the next number of weeks we'll go back to baby steps. Heeling well on walks with random sit whistles with corrections for slow response. Then go to "bird boy blinds". (Since I have no "bird boy" I'll manage to move the bumpers around myself.)

We'll see how it goes. I think since this is a skill she knows, it's just a matter of reminding her how to do it crisply and cleanly.

It is so nice to have a dog that will run drills with you with a great attitude and drive.

Sounds like you've got a good plan for this winter! Something tells me she's going to do really well next year, more experience, and more maturity.

Don't know much about the whole process but do know you two are going to get some great quality time together and have fun.

We too are coming to the end of our season. The group will get together until the snow flies and then it will be indoor work. I really would like to do some Rally or formal obedience during the off season but will have to just take it day by day.

Pheasant hunting started this morning. Waterfowl season opened on Sunday. Moose hunt scheduled to start October 15 and the November is the deer season. Should keep the household busy for awhile.
