Interesting Video
I was looking at the following Dogs 101 video about Labradors and it mentioned that black Labradors are the most successful in competition. Has anyone else heard this? If so, is this true for dock diving?

That's an interesting question: which color lab is the most successful dock diver. But I'm sure the answer would have to be based on the one that is entered the most. I'm sure dock diving ability has nothing to do with coat color.
But someone who is into numbers and statistics should figure out the answer based on the ratio of number of entries to wins.

I'm not too sure about that program and where they get their facts. In one of their episodes, about Labs, they said that a Lab can reach the speed of 12MPH in 3 seconds.
We already proved that wrong a few months back on the DockDogs Forum. We calculated from Speed Retrieve Video that it's almost twice that speed in that amount of time! Jim

I believe I've seen more black Labs jumping. Other then that, I also believe color has nothing to do with a dogs athletic ability,
