We've gotten over a foot of snow since 3 am this morning. Thor is in heaven. He's already the happiest dog in the world, but something about snow brings him to the next level of joy.
The snow is extremely light and fluffy so the depth isn't difficult for him. These pics are from about 5 hours ago, and another 6 inches have fallen since then. I just realized I probably need to shovel a poop path! His post dinner squat looked quite awkward. I haven't lived in snow with a dog in a long time!

Yeah Thor, so much fun. Tell Dad that every year we have to shovel a poop trail in the back yard. Squatting in the snow is no fun.

Thor's having a blast in that white stuff!!
One of our newest hires lives in Bend and she said her husband's company gave them all the day off to go snowboarding. Only in Bend!
Ha! I had a stressful customer call yesterday afternoon that wrapped up around 2 pm. I jumped straight on the phone with my boss to debrief after the call, and at the end she told me to shut down my computer and go skiing already. That's when I took the pics of Thor. I love my boss.
Yay, another cross country skiier! We are in a heavy snow squall too, could only see about 30 feet ahead with the dogs at times. My footprints leading down the trail were nearly gone by the time we headed back, only half an hour.
LOL, we snow blow poop paths but Oban only uses them to access fresh deep snow to poop in. He won't poop on the trails we walk or on the paths we blow. Jet was the same. It seemed like a good thing till we had crust Jet would break through and then when she got old it was hard on her.

I got that vest for him (a cheap one on amazon) in September since there is hunting allowed on the BLM land behind our property, though don't people really hunt back there since no motorized vehicles are allowed. He's the same color as the antelope so I keep him in the vest for peace of mind. But I put it on him yesterday just so I could see him in the snow!
Glad you're enjoying yourself THOR!!!!
Happy dog!
