Snow means an extremely happy Cookie

First snow of the season, and a certain Cookie was extremely happy.

We went for a long walk by the (frozen) lake. No swimming.

And a few pictures from our park

LOL, did the man just happen to be walking along there? If so I love his expression, matches Cookie's. Both so happy to be out in the snow.

P.S. I love the man's expression anyway but if he is a stranger enjoying seeing your dog be happy then it's a bit more special, somehow.

I've said this before - my 'happy place' is thinking of dogs in the snow. It is just such pure joy that I can't help but smile, regardless of how miserable I might be. Thanks for sharing the happy pics!

The man is a friend He actually went to the lake to run, but realised it wasn't really convenient for running, so he joined us for a walk.

It is, we usually get a bit of snow by the end of the year, last year we had some snow by the end of November. However, the last winters have been pretty mild over here. The last big blizzard that we had was back in 2012. The snow from yesterday has already melted, I was lucky I had Monday and Tuesday off so we could enjoy the snow.

When I was in Bosnia, it started snowing the week before Christmas, and didn't stop until February. Seemed like it snowed just about every day!

It depends where you were. Places at a higher altitude do usually get snow during the entire winter. We weren't that lucky last year on a mountain in Bosnia where we went skiing (Jahorina). We had snow for 2 days only and then it started raining. It was in February, when you expect cold, especially on a mountain. Winter last year was very mild. The entire region had a bad skiing season.
