Aye Mates,
We hunted birds over TRAD and REV yesterday, both dogs being worked individually. A great day, we took a total o' seven birds and the dogs got a great workout and had lots o' fun.

Makes me laugh though, I don't know how many times, half asleep walking out to a deer stand in the wee hours of the morning and I kick up a pheasant. Scares the crap right out of you.

Nice hold by Rev! That is a good looking rooster! Is pheasant season still open out by you? During this time of the year, we have to go to a game farm to hunt birds.

My club property is a state regulated / permitted shooting preserve that allow us to extend our season through March 31st. REV is a talented K9 and should earn his AKC Senior Hunter and HRC HR Titles this year if all goes as planned. He is currently 8 for 8 in hunt test title qualifications.��

REV is 2 years and 5 months old. His buddy TRAD is a year older and will be campaigned toward his AKC Master Hunter and HRC Hunter Retriever Champion Titles this year..

Good luck running both dogs this season! I had forgotten that my Bacon and TRAD are so close in age. Bacon is no master, but he sure loves to hunt with Jake and I!

HUNT TESTS are not for every dog and their owner. As long as ye have fun together and ye keep BACON engaged in an activity that is meaningful / rewarding for him, it matters not. I am sure he is a Master in your eyes.
