Last Couple weekends, my around the house Helper.

So another post by Kimber's mom made me think we haven't posted Hemi pics in a while. I decided to make a new thread rather than jump on her thread.

So March and early may the weather was miserable here. Raining, flooding, cold and miserable. I was on full alert gettign read for my basement to flood. Luckily it didn't but I was worried. The last couple weekends have been awesome here so I decided to tackle a project I have been wanting to do for a few years now. Redo the whole deck. This is my project this whole year. All new railings, restaining, new landscaping. However, we started with some new furniture. I built all my furniture myself. I had to buy cushions but built everything else.

Easter weekend being 3 days off. Which I took an extra day. Hemi got to go see the Easter Bunny, which he was not a fan of at all. Santa no problem, Easter Bunny, no way dad.

Then we took a big trip to Home Depot. Hemi was shopping for tools.

I unloaded all the wood out of the Truck and well Hemi is not allowed in the Garage while power tools are being used, so he help by protecting the wood so no one would steal it. Not sure though how much protection he was.

Anyway I build a sectional sofa. I put a few more boards in the seat because they wanted them an inch apart. I figured the cusions wouldn't be on them all the time and I can guess someone who might jump up there without cushions. I was correct too. The boards weren't screwed down here yet which is why they look off.

Couch done and cushions on. My Helper testing everything out.

I got the coffee table done this weekend. I still need to sand it and stain it. I put in plugs and wood filler this weekend which all needs to dry. Next weekend Power wash the deck and get everything ready to stain it.

Edited to add. In case you were wondering. The wood is all Cedar, and the cushions are all water proof. Not like I will leave them out in storms but in case a wet pup out of the pool decides he needs to rub off.

Very cool! He's clearly decided his place is somewhere near the middle- you and anyone else may sit on either side of him and he will be able to access everyone at the same time. That furniture looks great, let me know when the adult beverages are to be served!

Thieves would have been surprised to find out that Hemi was only pretending to be asleep. Great work.
