    Hiking and Ice Cream!

We did a long hike today - over 10 miles with about 2500 ft of elevation gain. Thor was off leash the entire time and he was so perfectly well behaved he even got an ice cream treat on our way home!

Hiking through the old growth forest, dog for scale.

We climbed and climbed and climbed until we finally were above the trees.

There was still some snow up high and we lost the trail but Thor did an amazing job leading the way! He wandered through the trees and every time there was enough snow melted away that I could see the ground I could see trail - good job, Thor!

Summit Selfie! I can only get him to look towards the camera if I hold a treat in the same hand.

And a treat because he was a Very Good Boy today.

Always nice to have icecream after a long hike isn't it Thor. One of Hemi's favorite hikes is trails that lead to the Froyo Store. I just ask him if he wants Froyo and he knows long hike that pays off.

A hike and ice cream! That sounds like a fantastic day. Great pics! Makes me homesick for Oregon. A little hard to get in hikes around here in Texas this time of year... too hot! Sigh.

Wow looks like fun! Good for you taking Thor with you! Yea those trees are really big not the normal big. Great trick to get Thor to look at the camera!
