    Aging like fine wine

Cookie has turned 11 a few days ago. As a birthday present, I took him to a city and a lake there where we have never been. On our way back, we enjoyed some peace and quiet in my colleague's village, where Cookie could walk the quiet paths and roll in the fields.

I notice his arthritis is slowing him down somewhat, but he is still full of energy, he usually overdoes it (that is why he is on a leash most of the time, with a prong!). He wants to act like a crazy puppy, but his body is limiting him unfortunately. It's his left elbow that is bothering him now, we are going to try physical therapy for it, starting today.

What a great place to walk. Nature and art together. Are big installations all along?

IN your top photo, is that an art installation? Or a water runoff pipe. Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference between utility structures and art. Especially in photos.

Well heck. I tried to find photos of some I used to see along the Don Valley Parkway in Toronto but couldn't. I haven't been that way for a while and I did hear they were crumbling and might be taken down. They were large concrete (I think) sculptures of nothing I could identify as being anything.

Oh, that! It's a monument, for the children and professors that were shot in World War II during the Nazi occupation.
