    Beating the heat

Summer is a tough time for the dogs. They can't do a lot with the heat and so burning off their energy is challenging. A trip to the lake helps.

Looks like fun! We don't really have a lake that dogs are welcomed to swim in and for some reason they don't want dogs swimming in the reservoir that our drinking water comes from- imagine that. Your chocolate pup's tongue is really hanging low!

We were actually out of town and went to a nearby lake. It was great, no one was around so we had the place to ourselves each time we went. The pups had such a good time. When Sam got too hot to fetch he'd rest for a while under the picnic table and then he'd but ready to go again. Ava had fun splashing and sniffing, she's not really into fetch and Sam didn't want to play, he just wanted to fetch.

Good times, Zeke loves water too, the creek where we play, the lake at my father in laws place and lately any mud puddle he sees.
