Sam walks onto it from the edge while it floats over the ramp. My friend's Mal (the adult) swims for like an hour a day six months out of the year and is able to get on and off from the water and sometimes she jumps onto it from the edge. I've seen her leapfrog a float if it's in her path when diving from the dock to a toy. She also does position changes on the float (stand, drop, sit, etc.) and tricks (spin, wave, sit pretty, play dead, etc.). She is a very in shape dog and, typical of a Mal, pretty intense.
Wow tons of fun there and a great way to exercise the dogs by playing with each other!
