Cookie and I went to Greece for almost 3 weeks. The weather was great (mostly) so Cookie and I swam a lot. The warmer weather and the sunny days agreed with Cookie it seems. He was so happy there.
Here are a few pictures and a video
Enjoy!

An empty beach? Wow! And the water is so clear and calm, nothing like the Atlantic Ocean where Lark has to deal with waves. How great! I hope you had as much of a good time as Cookie clearly enjoyed!

Cookie looks wonderful...and so happy. That's a really beautiful beach...the water is so clear and perfect for your sea dragon to swim along in (that's what he reminded me of as he headed for shore in the video).
Sounds like you had a great vacation.

Yep, the beach is empty because the season is over. Most tourists are gone by September, and we went at the end of September and left mid-October.
There were just a couple of days when it was windy with huge waves (nothing compared to the Atlantic though!) and two days of rain, but we were really lucky to get warm (mid-twenties Celsius) sunny weather.
I hope we will get the opportunity to go again next year. I really enjoyed it too, it was serene and relaxing. I don't like when it's crowded with tourists during summer.

I only saw him moving a bit on land but that back leg seems to be getting better and better, hardly any limp. Did Cookie lose weight with all the swimming? I'm guessing he can use the leg a bit more to swim than to run so swam a lot? Not that he needed to lose weight either, just wondered.

Both of his back legs are okay. His FHO leg is a bit weaker than the other one, but he is using it fine. The mechanics are different, but it doesn't bother him. His main issue now is his left elbow, which is really arthritic. For now it's not painful most of the time, but it's the reason why I don't let him run, jump, and even his off-leash time is limited, because he gets too excited.
I let him swim for about 15 minutes (with small breaks), and then we go for a walk. Our long walk is about 3 kilometers, and with 3 shorter walks, that would be about 5 kilometers daily, which is not bad.
He didn't lose weight though, he's steady at 28kg since I know him, LOL. But he may look "fatter" in winter coat vs summer coat.

What a beautiful beach and water!! Cookie looks to be doing excellent and smiling all the time, as I am sure you were also.
All in all, a wonderful time for both of you.

Looks like it was a great vacation, especially your very own private beach.
