Bubba doesn't care about the time change because I don't feed him at the same time everyday, but I'm dog sitting for an elderly dog and its been a nightmare. NOT enjoying being woken up at 5:30 AM for no reason (and neither is Bubba, he likes his sleep)

Feeding times around here are not on the dot so no problem! However, I did dog sit once for a friend who is one of those people who are very routine oriented (therefore, so are her dogs) and man was that a nightmare! I basically had to stretch the hour out over time by ten minute increments in order to keep her dog from going straight over the edge (and taking me with her!).

    cutey!
And interesting to see your board - I am scouting ideas for a "perch". the fancy dog made ones are like $200! I imagine it is possible to make a safe one for much cheaper!

I doubt it cost much over $30 to build that. It's a piece of 3/4" exterior plywood with a smooth finish on one side that I had cut to size at Lowes. The feet are 4" PVC end caps. I used 5 end caps, one at each corner and one in the center. I attached them to the board with stainless bolts with nylon lock washers, so it's pretty much weather proof. I topped it with a piece of indoor/out carpet glued to the top. It probably didn't take much more than 15 minutes to make it.
