Do you sleep downstairs with Rocky? Ram hasn't wanted to do the stairs in over a week, and that's even with Metacam. If I go upstairs to bed he whines and so I've been sleeping on his bed with him but I need my bed to sleep properly.

yes there is a futon there and I set up my computer to watch netflix. I live downstairs (well it's the main floor but basement-like). Leaving him downstairs to sleep upstairs was never something i truly considered (but that would be the normal thing to do). It's been three months now, so it's routine. My back is holding up, I should be ok for awhile yet. Actually Rocky had a harder time adjusting, he paced a bit the first few nights we slept downstairs (but it's routine now).

The hardest part is the kitchen is upstairs. So any kitchen time is time away from Rocky which I hate. So I am doing much less. OR when my parents are over because they don't come downstairs to hang out and I am not going upstairs to hang out with them :P

It is pretty funny to have a full house but use the third floor ONLY to shower and the second floor only for the kitchen and live in the one room of the main level
