    The best Christmas present

...is a lab who ignores the Christmas tree.

This little jerk turns four next month and he’s finally old enough that Christmas trees are boring. Which means I can take adorable pics like this without worrying that he’ll eat an ornament.

I see coal in your immediate future...

How can you possibly refer to that wonderful dog as a "little jerk"? Shame!

    Good boy, Thor!!!

How adorable! Just the opposite this year for me. I now have Asher and had to leave all my pretty ornaments off the tree. I sat out my Frosty the Snowman and Asher managed to eat his arm off. I've had that thing for 10 years! Grrrrrr I didn't think he would be interested in but boy, he grabbed that thing and shook it like crazy. Has sand in the bottom to help it sit. Thankfully he didn't rip that up.

Just don't get him to stand up and wait for treats too close to the tree! You know his happy tail is likely to clear the bottom 3 feet of all ornaments, even if he doesn't pull them off with his teeth!

    Good Boy Thor.

Smartrock beat me to it. It's the tail we have to watch out for. The head end is only mildly curious but waggy can take a toll. Nothing compared to cats though.

We just put up our tree a few days ago, and after a couple "uh uh's" when the almost 8 month olds got too inquisitive, they have been pretty good!

Good boy Thor, you'll have to show the new guy the ropes next year

I forgot all about the tail. He has no interest in eating ornaments anymore but I had to move all of the breakable ones up higher! I figure I’ll buy cheap bulk ornaments during the post Christmas sales this year so we can train the new pup next year. I lost too many nostalgic old ones to Thor’s first year with us. [emoji849]

Cookie was never interested in the Christmas tree. He was about 5 months old when the first one was up.

Thor looks adorable in that picture! And a very nice tree!
