Hanging out with her old gal friend

Gigi is hanging out with Gracie our guinea pig. Gracie is 6 and is very active but had a big malignant tumour and the day stops eating and being her self we have to help her move on. So she comes out most nights and hangs outside.
The cat gets the boot as he is 14 and still brings me gift . Dead or some alive all the time.
The puppy Gigi would have jumped on the pig. At 2 we see rhe maturity kicking it.

Yes! I'm not sure Gracie would remain unpestered by Lark but maybe Gigi senses that's she's more fragile these days.

That's adorable. I hope Gracie has many more good quality days to spend with her big chocolate buddy.

Today bear returned. His owners are off to Alaska and he used to be ours hr had to rehomed due to aggression towards then my small son. As he has bitten people he cannot be boarded so we dog sit.

He has forgotten his training and barks like crazy.... Arghhh....

Hmm, I guess the doxie and the guinea pig don't get to be free around each other?

Aww. Yes, I wonder too if Gigi senses frailty in Gracie.

Think I would not trust Bear around Gracie. While I"ve seen many show, what? Emapthy, compassion for a sick or injured housemate, human or animal? But I've also seen dogs be aggressive to injured dogs/other pets they didn't know. Probably only instinct kicking in, easier to catch the injured potential food prey animal than the able one.

Bear is closely watched. He bites , food aggressive nd also n0t kid friendly . We keep out doors locked as the neighbourhood kids run into play all the time. Gigi is friendly to them.

My neighbours father just put his 15 yr old choclate lab down . He walked into our backyard wanting a lab fix... Me and my wife freaked out as Gigi even though took instruction and did a down stay was very wary of a stranger . Once we gave release and kept saying easy she calmed down and then let him pet her and play with her.

My wife thinks if we were not here she might have grabbed his hands as she is mouthy .
