I was caring for two strays outside...each had been around for 18 months or so. Tiger and I call the other Whitey. Whitey showed up looking pristine. Tiger had his ear clipped. Anyways, faithfully I'd feed them at 0630 and 1830 daily. I went out to feed Tiger on a Friday at the normal time. He was happy, meowing, ready for food. I placed the kibble down. Twenty minutes later I grabbed Asher and we went out back. He literally dragged me to the gate. There lay Tiger passed away---in just that 20 minute span. I was completely heartbroken. I tried over the months to get him to trust me but he just would not. So I provided shelter, food, and water. It was at that point I decided I wanted to foster. I have two fosters now. Plus 3 of my own. Whitey is still out there. I give her/him supplements and flea meds but like Tiger, I cannot touch her. Breaks my heart how people will just dump precious animals.
