    Class Is In Session

    Aye Mates,

Class Is In Session ~ Gun dog trainees TRAD, MAC, REV, TURBO, and JACKSON are giving my training partner Rick their undivided attention during today's training session. Truth be told, the whole lot had an easy day as we let them just be dogs and play today, the focus being on proper introduction to gunfire. As the younger pups JACKSON and TURBO chased the older dogs in play, a training revolver was continually discharged by me as I watched for any signs of aversion displayed by the trainees. Not observing any signs of distress while the younger dogs were fully distracted by the older dogs, the distance between myself and the trainee pups is gradually decreased while random firing of the revolver continues, the pups carefully monitored by my trained eyes for any aversive behavior. All went extremely well and will continue progressively until the pups are fully conditioned to be comfortable with the report of gunfire at extremely close proximity.

    Cheers,
    THE DOG WHISTLER ☘️🇮🇪🇺🇸

It would be interesting to see a video about how you train a lab for the first time for hunting.

I am not sure I understand your question. What exactly do you mean by "train a Lab for the first time for hunting"?
