Chili and I have been thru a lot. couple new homes, a bunch of vet visits. double elbow arthroscope surgery. the whole diarrhea/food issue. a possible eye injury. training/recall with treats and then ecollar. teething. a few road trips with the largest 3k+ miles and 20+ days in hotels. dog parks. trying to swim in rivers. digging holes, eating wires, destroying stuff. I am sure I left out a bunch of stuff.

overall, as a 1st time pet owner, I have loved the experience and look forward to so many more years. Chili now has free roam of the home and has decided to sleep in our bedroom on the floor. with his doggie door, he has access to the yard and behaves very well except for the 1st few minutes when company comes over. after those 1st few minutes of excitement, he calms right down and is perfect.

Dont want to think about all the money I have spent on Chili, but I wouldnt doubt if it is close to 10k. so maybe this next year I can drop a zero.

thanks for all on this board who have given me great insight and advice. its a shame, its all been lost, but nothing wrong with starting fresh.

Chili started out at 8 weeks and about 8 pounds, at 1 year he weighs 80 pounds.

Wow, he has grown! I love your photos. Digging holes? I'd say he's digging a money pit! Hopefully no more major expenses for the next few years. Happy Birthday, Mr Chili!!!
