They're all really lovely. I know what you mean about never being in a photo with your dog because you're always behind the camera. I'm glad you took advantage of having another photographer around and that he was good enough to share. Mel was certainly anxious for the frisbee action to begin, wasn't she?

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

She sure was and spent quite some time running around like crazy, retrieving and loving every minute of it. You're right about always being behind the camera when the pics are being taken and even more difficult for us as there's nobody else who could take care of it. The guy was a perfect stranger; just gave him my email address and didn't expect anything really which made the arrival of the pics even nicer and more joyous.

wow Beautiful pictures you have a couple print worthy ones to choose from. Very nice of the man to take and send you the photos.

it is hard to find someone to take the pictures I have tried setting up a timer but to get the kids to look at the camera before the timer goes off is hard.

Actually, the guy was amazing; he was there to take some photos of the sunrise, had really professional equipment and was really surprised to see us there that early in the morning - about 4:45. He said it might be nice to take a few pics of us in the rising sun if we didn't mind :-) and sent us about twenty pics, and all of them are just great :-)

Red with little black labs? I love it too, but it was too small for Lynn, so she couldn't wear it, but with Mel it still works. My sis bought it for Lynn in San Diego years ago, so it travelled almost around the world

Some of you guys suggested that some of the pictures deserve to be framed and put on a wall. Thanks for the great tip. I picked one, and this is the result:

The pictures are absolutely stunning, I would be framing a few! Mel is a beautiful girl, she really looks grown up.

Well, I'd have done the same thing. There are at least three or four that are worth framing, but the capacity of the wall is unfortunately very limited, so I picked my favorite pic, and that was it. However, I love it and it's changed the atmosphere of the living room quite a bit.
And Mel has grown up a lot, she no longer has her puppy face, is already a real lab lady, and she's an amazing friend and companion.
