Well, we know we have a water dog. There is ZERO doubt now. We have had plans to get Lilly a kiddie pool, and seeing some of the members here utilized them, kind of spurred us on.
There is no doubt, we will definitely make a run after the season and get her ocean-fied.
Here's some photos of that first time! Unfortunately I was at work, but my husband said he was in stitches watching her. Just so funny. My husband said at first she thought it was just a big water dish, but then she really woke up from her nap and she had a blast!

Lilly looks like she's having fun! Sam loved his kiddie pool. Unfortunately it didn't survive Sam's love and had to go in the trash at the end of summer. I think it's time to get a new one!

I wish our two would get in. They still think it's nothing more than a big water dish.
Hope all is well and have a great day

I have 3 kiddie pools right now. Chase won't get in the same one Lark is in and she mainly wants to be in the one that Chase is in, so there's a lot of moving between pools. Looks like Lilly has it all figured out. I especially like the second photo, as she's captivated by what's happening around her.

Well, got the opportunity to see Lilly in her pool.
This is what it looked like after,
Because she had a ball doing this, many, many times.
I will dump that pool every day if it gives Lilly the exercise she really needs. What a different pup last night. Definitely true what I read here (sorry before the history was lost) that walking a lab, truly isn't real exercise. Today, after this romp, I could tell she was overtired, more so that 2 walks a day, as she wasn't totally listening and her excitement level was mounting. Put her on leash and took her for just a short walk which does calm her down. She's now curled up for a nap.
She loves her pool. But to keep my sanity, am putting her on leash at 4:30 am if there is water in the pool. Did that last night as well. If I let her, she'd be wet all the time.

Jax loves his kiddie pool also. He likes to stick his nose in and blow out to make bubbles. It cracks me up every time.
