    "trio grande"

TEAM TRAD takes a break at an old windmill driven well pump during our hunt of an old farm this morning. A beautiful trio of big rooster ringnecks were flushed to the guns of meself and me gunning Mate Henry. The scent tracking, cover busting, flush, and retrieval work of TRAD were really wonderful to behold on this crisp November morning with the Mercury dipping to 29 degrees F.

TRAD is rewarded with some rest and verbal praise for his rooster rousting efforts during this morning's hunt.

Our gunning Mate Henry did his part too, in an effort to lend support to keep the old windmill from toppling over. "Hey Henry, good on ya for holding up that old tower"! LOL.

TEAM TRAD working the hedgerow covers for sneaky roosters hiding about the thickets. None are safe with TRAD on the hunt!

TRAD being in his "first season", every hunt provides an opportunity for training. TRAD is seen here working on "HOLD - HEEL" under the watchful eye of "THE DOG WHISTLER". TRAD walks with me while being expected to carry a rooster pheasant gently back to me SUV after the hunt.

TRAD safely crated for the drive home among the trio of feathered splendor.

Another great day afield. We ended the day one bird shy of the allowed daily bag limit, but our hunting is much more about a day shared among great friends, watching the awesome work of an up and coming gundog developing right before our eyes, and enjoying a great day of walking in the beauty of November in New England. Today was all of that and more!

    Cheers Mate's,
    THE DOG WHISTLER

Seeing TRAD and "his team" out in the field, TRAD doing what a lab is bred to do, is beautiful.

    Thanks for the pictures.
