He loves it! Even when I make him wear a stupid pack and be on that annoying leash.
This was one of the most successful outings we've had. He was a jerk for the first five overly-excited minutes, then decided to behave. It's the first time we've hiked when I've gotten him to completely ignore other people and dogs (and this is a very popular trail). I got lots of compliments on what a well behaved dog I had. If only they knew how close he was to pulling with his "AHHHH OTHER PEOPLE AND DOGS I WANT TO PLAY!!!" one year old lab energy. Good boy, Thor!
Good job Thor.

So happy what a handsom boy
Sounds like a great time!
Archie and you should get together with your packs and have a fun time.
It's a Ruffwear Palisades pack. Got it through BackcountryK9.com.
Thor is right between the M and L sizes. M is a bit tight and L is a bit loose. I stuck with the L since I'd rather have it loose than tight. He doesn't seem to mind, he loves that thing. When he sees it he gets really excited because he knows it's time to hike!
