    Coley the wonder dog!

Coley learned how to back out of a flat buckle collar shortly after we found her so I've been making her martingale collars since. She usually sports a rainbow collar, but for spring I decided to make her a new one.

Here she is taking the sun a few weeks ago.

I did say make. They are fairly easy if you don't want them to be adjustable. I've made 5 or 6 of them now, making a new one when Coley grew out of her last two, and I made a couple for my parents dalmatian. The hardware is pretty easy to find online, and I think I got enough hardware to make 10 or 12 collars for less than 10 bucks. You can order webbing online, but I've just found it at my local Joann's. It helps to have a heavy duty sewing machine and a zipper foot to get close to the hardware. This is the tutorial I used with a few modifications. Beau and Roux

The latest one I wrapped in fabric that I had on hand with left over webbing from her last collar. I'd say each collar costs around 4 dollars or so to make, which makes it easy and fun to switch things up.

That's funny. Crafther always looks at the collars every time we go to any pet store. I'm just a camo collar guy!
