    Any Photoshop Experts??

This is a pic I took of Sophie's brother, Sam on my recent trip. My friends asked if I could somehow get the leash out of the picture. I picked up Photoshop Element 13 and tried to figure out how to do it, but have not been able to get it.

Anyone know how to do this???

It would be possible to remove the leash however, I don't think I would be able to remove it around the neck. It would be a little time consuming. Also, the photo is overexposed - do you have another one? Did you shoot it in RAW format or is it a jpeg?

    There you go

I've corrected the brightness a bit, since the photo was overexposed you lost some details on the dog.

    Handsome dog by the way!

Thanks!!!! Now how did you do it???? And would it help if you had the original file, which is much larger???

I was using my daughter's Nikon, and this was about the 10th picture I took with it. I've always had Canon's and was struggling with figuring out what was what on this one.

For the leash removal, I used the clone stamp tool in Photoshop. This one was easy actually, the background is easy, took me a couple of minutes. Sometimes the background is much more complicated.

I corrected the exposure by masking the dog. The background looks decently exposed, so I didn't want to change that.

The picture is big enough, but shooting in RAW (I don't know which Nikon you are using) gives you many more options during post-processing. Not for the leash removal per se, but for adjusting highlights, shadows etc.

LOL! Yes, I could change the colour of your hair, alright! Blue, pink?

I really appreciate this. I'm not sure what model Nikon I was using. I'll start shooting in RAW with my Canon. I need to find a class on this stuff!!!
