The city just opened a small dog park. It has allowed me to burn off some of Sam's energy during the week when there isn't time to go for a hike. He needs to run and run and run to use up energy, leashed walks don't do anything for him. Sam is so happy that he's hard to live with because he thinks it's ALWAYS time to go to the dog park.
There is no water other than the drinking fountain (for human & canine) but with all the rain here in Texas, there are some good mud puddles surrounded by a lot of soggy ground. So Sam's keeping wet to cool off.
