floating is good too, with that crazy heat we had last week! scout normally walks in, swims 3 circles, then comes out. during that heat, he was swimming more, and staying out less!

its worth it to get it where you want it! Scout's is probably about 4" lower than the deck, it works fine. and i've seen people add a wide-ish step to the existing deck to get to the height of the pool lip, rather than digging lots out, it looked fine and would function fine.

bet you boys spent a lot of time over the last week in the pool!

Hemi is doing fantastic. We went and ran agility this weekend. The vet said 1 runs and as long as he was ok, then he could do another but no more. We did the first run and I let him rest a while and we got up walked around. I couldn't see any limping so I let him run one more time. I think it might have bothered him, he was kind of quiet after the second run. I also thought I seen a limp maybe when we were leaving, but I am still super sensitive to it. I couldn;t see any limping though the rest of the day after we got home. However we continue to add new things in. We are up to 30 minute walks, just a little over a mile. I let him swim hard for 30 minutes, that's me throwing things for him, then I decided we can be casual swimmers for however long we want. As Scoupout said and you know as well it was hot in our area last few weeks so we swam every day.

We tried painting again this week. It was his painting arm he hurt. Everything was fine there.

Then when I get in the pool he loves to hang out with me in there. He finds things to do. This is what I call light casual swimming. Here I am bent down in the water like I am sitting in a chair. Hemi will stand on my legs, front legs on one of my legs and back legs on another. I walk around like that in the pool, he gets a kick out of it. Eventually he falls off and swims a circle and comes and gets back on.

Then we also figured out how to share my raft so I do not need to buy another. On the over 90 days we would float around like this for a hour or more.
