    Hemi is feeling better

Well now I know Hemi is feeling better, his personality and good sense of humor is back in full force. I can;t tell you how glad I am to have my Hemi back. Even if it is on restrictions yet.

I have a couch that has this long like footrest spot on it. It is typically where Hemi loves to lay and get a toy. Well the couch has been all blocked off since he injured his shoulder. Last night I took the stuff off blocking it and he quickly made up for lost time by creating a toy hoard on the couch. This was seriously 5 minutes after I took the stuff off the couch.

Then I needed to finish up his pool steps so he can get in and out of the pool. I had mentioned before that pool steps are pretty expensive, actually more than I paid for the pool. Plus next year I will probably be moving it up close to the deck. So I made him a set of pool steps out of milk crates and a cut up rubber floor mat and some zip ties. Then to weigh them down in the pool 2 120lb sand bags.

Anyway, last night I was trying to put the rubber mat on there and someone decided they were going to help me. This is the look on his face when I asked him, "Just What in the heck do you think your doing!!!"

Here is a picture of the pool stairs I made before I put the rubber mat on. He has a set inside and outside and at a total cost of around $60.

Bless his sweet heart! He looks so happy, a huge difference from the video you posted of him limping. The pool steps are great, what an awesome idea! Fingers crossed his recovery continues and never again rears its ugly head!

So glad Hemi's feeling better. The picture of him on the couch with all his toys surrounding hi looks like Mocha. He does the same thing with his toys, don't want to be to far from a chewing opportunity!

So good to see that big Hemi smile. He's one happy boy having a few less restrictions. Great job on the pool steps.

Good boy Hemi! Those look like the mats from Lowes, I buy them and use them at work. Helps on the back, knees, and feet!

Hemi on the couch is so funny! These guys do get a certain routine into their heads and when they cannot do it for whatever reason, once it's allowed again it's like they're so relieved! We have a travel crate that usually is not set up but when I do get it out, Chase acts like, "Where have you been? " and is trying to get into it before I get it unfolded, then he lies in there all day. Hemi's got his toys up there on the couch and has claimed his rightful place again!

That pool looks like fun. Hemi was just testing the steps for safety!

    So glad he's feeling better!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”
