What a beautiful, beautiful dog.
Are you taking him for two months on a trial basis? I am thinking that if they let you take him for two months, they must not really want him.
Fingers crossed for you!

Handsome pup.
Awesome, hopefully you get to keep the dog!
Hopefully you get to keep him, for his sake as well as yours:) they are sending such bad vibes re the priority of their holiday at Christmas and leaving the dog outside when goldens are a known people loving breed (like labs). Russell and Chopper sound like a great dynamic duo.
Hope he gets to stay with you. Obviously neither person wants him or it would have been worked out. If they take him back, he won't get the attention he needs. Those are beautiful dogs, I can't imagine keeping a dog with that coat outside all the time, grooming would be even more involved and time consuming -- actually I can't understand keeping any dog outside all the time.
I have always wanted one just like him :)
Beautiful.
aaaawwww, he's very handsome, and looks really sweet! i'd be saying keep him too! imagine, leaving him outside because you don't want him getting the house dirty.... poor boy!
and hey, weren't you worried when you started dating your girlfriend how she'd feel about Chopper, and what a deal-breaker that would be if she didn't love him to bits? i think you've converted her, since she's now adding Russell to your family!
Well, since Russell is already at your house and you are taking care of him AND he gets along with Chopper, I would say you NEED to keep him from that hatred environment he came from. Surely your girlfriend's boss and wife would be able to see he is MUCH happy there with you and Chopper.
He is so stunning in his coat and fur and eyes. Please try your utmost to keep him as he desires to be with you and Chopper!!!!
