      Hoku's BFF

Hoku and the neighbor dog (and Airedale) are very close, but there is a yellow Lab she gets to visit sometimes, related to my husband's work. The yellow gal is Lena, and the two adore each other. Also, seeing them together... I think maybe the next one will need to be yellow.

      Playtime in the yard!

Lena wants to come home with us. I approve. Look at how adorable!

I totally agree! Labs just "get" other Labs. My girls always seek out and play with other Labs at Doggy day care and Camp!

Yep. There is another black Lab, Mars, who lives a few blocks away. We think he's from the same breeder. They liked each other at first sight.

When Kimber was about a year old, we brought her to an outdoor concert. If we set up chairs, she is very good about chilling at our feet. A man walking a black lab paused in front of our chairs, and we started the "hey we both have labs" conversation- but it was cut short, because Kimber and New Lab, upon seeing each other, bypassed all sniff greetings, moved right into playbows, followed shortly by, "Hey, let's get on our back legs, put our paws on each other's shoulders, and play bitey-face!" It was really cute and really inappropriate for the venue, so the man had to move along fast.
