    Lily and her parents

Today I went back to the breeder I purchased Lily from to discuss some questions/concerns I had. While I was there, Lily visited her mommy and daddy!

Yes, the breeder was very helpful and so nice to us today! He gave us free medicated shampoo that he uses on other puppies with the same skin condition that Lily has. (I took her to the vet afterwards and she gave the OK for the shampoo after examining Lily and ruling out anything like mites.) The breeder answered all of my questions with a lot of detail and made me feel a lot more comfortable about Lily's small size. He showed us other labs he had that were the same size as Lily when they were her age, and are now about the size of her mom (the yellow lab). I was really worried about her tiny size and posted a thread in the puppy health forum with a lot of concerns, but now I feel a lot better. Also, her breeder let me and my younger sister play with some of the 6 week old puppies he had!

I'm glad you were able to get more information and see "the family" for yourself. Mom and Dad look so proud of their little offspring. Thanks for sharing what you learned and the parent pics...now we can just watch your little girl grow.

Very cool. Glad the breeder could answer the questions. Mom and Dad do look like full labs. They are field bred labs so they are going to be thinner but they are labs. Mom is a dudley, just refers to her lack of pigment. Looking forward to watching Lilly grow.

glad the puppy will be big for the purpose you got her. I wish I took a pic of gigi playing with her mom and sister before I took her now.

Sounds like a fun visit! I would have been going nuts if I were there puppies and other labs!
