I've seen those at Pet Supplies Plus and some are really big. I wanted to try one for Wylie, but he had an Antler he use to love to chew and ended up cutting his gums with it. So I get a little worried about those now. I still may try one, just because Bully Sticks are so expensive and don't last long with him.

I saw these for the first time at Pet Supplies Plus yesterday. I considering buying one for Roxy, but I wasn't sure if they were ok or not. I will probably pick one up next time. Thanks for sharing.

Maybe an IMPORTANT NOTE ... lab owners, look for the horns with thicker sidewalls at the open (cut) end, ZouZou (Princess of Toothsome Destruction) easily bit off sharp looking chips (that she would otherwise eat if given the chance) from one of these horns that had thinner sidewall at the open end of the horn.

(And those open ends are favorite chewing spots because of the leverage they offer)

I'd say look for horns with sidewalls at least 1/4 inch thick. I think the one I had was only 1 mm in one spot ( I didn't realize it might not be as steel-like tough as it seemed to me), and sure enough she found that weak spot in just a matter of seconds.

Otherwise they seem to offer a decent chew-on-ability. I will return to try to find one that's more structurally sound at the open end.

Lilly splintered her first one which was much smaller. So far no splintering from the bigger one we got her. It's been a godsend and has helped her with teething as well as learning how to settle in the house. Was always leery of rawhide (that's just me) and was thrilled find out about antlers and now Water buffalo. Thanks for sharing.
