Question Loaves of bread

I have a friend of mine that has a 2 year old black lab named Diesel. She called me this morning worried because he had gotten into the bread on the counter and ate the whole thing. Apparently this isn't the first whole loaf he's ate. Should she be concerned?

No but if this keeps up he may end up overweight. Best to keep it out of his reach.

I have a pup in a pet home that is overweight because he counter surfs... Ugggggg

I wouldn't worry... Mine polished off a huge fresh loaf of Pumpernickle last Saturday night and other then a case of the craps Monday they're no worse for wear...

Honestly my previous dog had done the exact same thing on multiple occassions and she was fine. The worst that will happen is he will have a bit of an upset stomache.

Whenever the humans are dumb enough at my house to leave a loaf of bread on the counter, it's history. We laugh and say if we left a steak and a loaf of bread, Bailey would pick the bread. (Okay, I am sure he would eat both, lol) One time I videotaped it- it took him under three minutes after I left the house to snatch the bread.

maybe some diareah but nothing serious to worry about!

I now have a child lock on the cupboard where I keep breed (TOP cupboard, above island no less). Any bread left on counter is considered a personal gift to Rocky
