Hi There... My Toby never had Panreatitis...he actually had a case of gastritis, which is different. He was put on a prescription diet for about 3 weeks which helped him very much. He was on the Hill's ID. Pancreatitis can be very dangerous for a dog...and you do need to be very careful what you feed him. I would keep him on the ID as long as possible...you don't want him to have another attack of pancreatitis. I currently feed Toby the Nutrisource brand of foods...and he does very well on it. But they are not necessarily low in fat. I believe the California Naturals line has foods that are lower in fat. Some of their formulas only have 11 percent fat which is pretty low. Here is a link to their website: Natural Dog Food, Cat Food and Puppy Food for Pets With Food Sensitivity – California Natural Good luck with your dog...I hope he is better soon. Lily
Hi, I see your Toby had pancreatitis. My 10yr old was just hospitalized with pancreatitis and HGE. He is on ID right now and I'm adding potatoes' and chicken. I have to find a low fat kibble for him and having a hard time. Holistic Select weight mgmt is the one I'm leaning towards. What are you feeding Toby ? Has he had anymore issues with pancreatitis.
