huh.

We're not officially TTC right now. It's not entirely impossible that I could be pregnant, but very very unlikely.

I have GERD so maybe it's just reflux, but I've never had a taste like this before and I've had GERD for a while.

Haven't had a dental checkup in a little less than 6 mos...I have one at the end of this month.

I don't have a cough and haven't really noticed any post nasal drip or congested sinuses.

It's definitely weird, whatever it is.

Have you changed your eating at all? Cutting way back on carbs? I know you can get that weird metallic taste in your mouth when you are on a low carb diet. It is a symptom of ketosis.

Nope, haven't changed a thing. Because of some other health issues I have, I can't do a low carb/high protein diet.

That is a good thought, though.

I had that taste twice when I was pregnant! Even though I never carried my pregnancy beyond 6 weeks but that taste was there.

I never had it when I was pregnant but I have had it when I had sinus issues going on.

i've had it when i had bad sinus issues. i would brush my teeth/tongue a few more times trying to get that taste out of my mouth....not sure if it worked or not but it made me feel better.

have you been drinking unsweetened tea? sometimes that tastes metallic to me.

I have, actually!! I had some organic earl grey a few days ago. Would it be normal for the metallic taste to persist several days after? It didn't taste metallic when I drank it, but maybe it could come on after the fact?
