It is worth, and WELL WORTH, YOUR time to solve these problems if you have and want a dog.

Kind of reminds me of a friend that called my wife for dog training advice many years ago ...

him ... "I tell him to sit and he never sits! What do I do?"
wife ... "What commands do you use for him to sit?"
him ... "Commands? I tell him to sit and he won't!"
wife ... "But you had to spend the time teaching him what sit means, how did you do that?"
him ... "What? Everyone knows what sit means, why would I have to teach him what it means?"

Yes, he thought just by saying "sit" the dog would understand. It was suggested and I seriously thought of kidnapping that dog and finding a worthy owner. (just kidding)
Wife suggested taking him to obedience class and for him and his wife to PAY ATTENTION!!!

A dog will only do what they want that we consider wrong when WE do not show them what is right and what is accepted ... PUT IN THE TIME!!!

I am assuming this guy is joking.....you guys didn't take it that way???

Everyone has thought one time or another "OMG-what did I do?" After getting their puppy. It will test your patience like nothing else (other than children..lol). I know I had that thought after getting our second puppy-"What was I thinking, getting another puppy?" But I loved her and would never consider giving her up......

I took his comments as a joke.....

I have an 8 year old that still has "issues" from time-to-time. If you think your crazy pup is going to magically turn a corner one day and become an angel of a dog, then you are sorely mistaken. It takes years of training, exercise, work, headaches, and even then you are never finished. Constant reinforcement of the commands and rules, and maybe someday your Lab will become the dog you expect him/her to be, but until then its all on you.

You are a good person! Hoping the best and that this is a joke. I seriously hope so too but the fact is, not once does this person say anything positive about this puppy and it would probably be best to assume it's serious.

Very true but there is no question pertaining to any training issue to prevent the destructive behaviour here ... just a "How much is this pup worth?" question. Again, I hope I'm wrong but there's been no follow up either. You'd think with the frustration this pup is causing it would involve a few views to see if there are any helpful suggestions.

It does get better! By the time you get to 5 or 6, it gets so out of control you just don't care anymore Just kidding!!! I feel that once you get a 2nd they learn from each other. If you done good by the 1st one, it'll be passed along. Same goes for each one there after! Yes, I speak from experience!

I definitely agree with this .... Chloe is our third and has definitely been less work than the other two because they've taught her a ton.

Your 6 month old Lab should be "Priceless"....

No amount of money would EVER EVER EVER be enough to part with my boys!!!

It breaks my heart to read the OP's post, if it really isn't a joke. If it is a joke, it's not funny at all.

I hope this thread is a frustrated joke. Take the time to work with your puppy. Your pup should be priceless to you, a member of your family good or bad. But if you choose to give up on your pup, then your pup will be one of thousands that are dime a dozen in our nation's shelters.

To the OP, the 6 month old pup is worth the cost that you paid for him, the cost of all of the food, the cost of all the damage that he has caused to your house, etc......because that is what you spent so far.

As far as trying to sell him for that much. Well, he actually is worth nothing... WHY. Because you can not expect to sell an untrained pup who is 6 months old and the owner can not take it any more.

If you have seriously had enough it of (of which I hope not), please find it a good home that is willing to care for it. The dog and new owners will thank you.

I think the OP just wanted to make people mad and read their comments!! He hasn't been back to post so.... People like this shouldn't have animals period. Baylee was a holy terror at 6 months old, there were many times that I was extremely fustrated, but I never, never thought about giving her up!! Posts like this just make me sad!!!!!

Sure hope this was a joke out of frustration.

How can you set a "price" on a living, breathing creature? IMHO there is none.
