Just wondered if anyone does much night time photography. Our local fair came to town this week so decided I'd research night time photography, got all my tips and went along. These are the best of the 200+ I took. Due to the number of people there I didn't use my monopod so they are all handheld. I'm quite happy with them for a first attempt.

Very cool.

Night is a great time of day for photography and you can get some really cool shots. I often look at places while driving in the dark and think they would be neat to photograph in that light.

I've done a little bit recently as shown below with just the firelight for lighting.

I bet there are a lot of cool places around where you live that can offer a lot of photo ops. We don't have much here other than dark woods. LOL I'm going to experiment more with star trails this winter when it gets dark earlier and the sky is crisper.

Those are great shots!

I thoroughly enjoy shooting pictures at night. It's amazing what you can create using different lighting techniques, and the moon and what not.
