I thought it was pretty good. It was MUCH better than Twilight but still had plenty of cheesy moments, LOL. There were a few inconsistencies but nothing not to be expected when a book turns into a movie!

I LOVED it! WAY better than Twilight. Much closer to the book than Twilight was...and not nearly as cheesy! I'm going to see it again tomorrow

Oh I'm so glad to hear it was better than the first movie.

Just nine days until I can start the book and then I can see the movie.

Nine days.

I wish they would stop showing the trailer on TV! DH is getting sick of me screaming "OH CRAP, NO NO NO!!! I HAVEN'T READ IT YET!!!" and covering my ears every time it comes on.

It still cracked me up because everyone in the crowd (very few teenagers, mostly an older crowd) acted so surprised when certain things happened when you know they've all read the books. And all of the screaming when Jacob first had no shirt on...but none when Edward was shirtless even though a ton of people had "Team Edward" shirts.

LOL, I died laughing when that happened too!

I loved it - thought they did a great job following the book as closely as movies can do

Yep, I thought it was way better than Twilight. The special effects were better, IMO. I could have done with more Edward, but Jacob is easy on the eyes too!

Yes, a few cheesy points and there were some things that wouldn't make sense unless you read the books but overall, GOOD.

I loved the movie because I have not read the books deliberately so as to not be disapointed with the movie. This happened with my favourite book Angelas Ashes, I was so disapointed with what the film left out. It was so funny, the audience was a lot of my peers (around 40) and the gasping when Jacob took of his top was hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed the special effects. Get along and see it everyone.

Will you read the books after the movies? I truly think to fully appreciate the series you need to read the books too because there are just SO many things that the movies can't show but if you know that information things seem to flow so much better and make a lot more sense. I honestly don't know how much I would like the movies without the books but because of the books I *love* the movies.

I guess I'd agree...
When the Twilight first came out, I had NO desire to see it...then some of my friends told me how great it was. I broke down, and rented it. I enjoyed the movie so much I decided to read the books...I've since watched Twilight three more times, and noticed new things each time.
I'm going to wait (it's gonna be a LONG wait) a few weeks to see New Moon and I think I may actually read the book again before I do.

I enjoyed it - except for all the middle schoolers that were there. I agree - Jacob was very easy to look at.

I finally got to see it! LOVED it..it was MUCH better than the first one, they did a decent job at following the book. I think they did a good job with it!

Luckily, I went to a later showing on a wednesday night, so the theater wasn't very crowded. I took like 6 people with me though, and we all felt it was better!
