Have any of the ladies of this board been on "the bump" website? Have you ever been on the boards?

Do any of you agree with me that many of the ladies on that board are rude?

Man, you ask a simple question and say one word wrong and they attack you. They all gang up on you.

You all are so nice on this board.....I guess I will have to only ask my questions on this board from now on where there is respect and no judgement for asking a question.

And sorry for the rant.......it just really bothered me!

I haven't been there but I belong to a few other boards. This by far is the most fair board.

I was on a few boards when pregnant and some of them drove me nuts. Some are on their high horse and let's not forget those who want you to only respect their views and they can't respect yours. I find my best mothering help/advice is here...I honestly have never had many close gf's because I can't stand how catty and overly opinionated some mom's get.

LOL - my SIL and I talk about this often...

Anyway - I never really frequented any preggo boards - if I did was just to lurk, never really to post. I found most of my information from the books that my ob/gyn told me to throw out (just because of the scary stuff that they talk about that isn't the "norm")! I read em anyway.

From what I've seen here - many women board members have a lot of input and the experiences appear to have been very broad.

I love the ladies here, such sweet women here. I think its also the love we all share for our pups, so many different types of people on here but its a very comfortable and kind place to visit

I read, but haven't joined, one of the boards on BabyCenter. I am astonished at how rude lots of the people are. I would be scared to post there. Yikes!

That is one I belong too. You have to be very careful to which boards you post on. I had some nasty things PM to me because they didn't like what I was saying. I really don't post much over there anymore. I do like the read some of the threads cause they are hysterical with people aruging back and forth

I haven't been on The Bump site, but I am a member of a board for twin moms and the same is true of that board as well. WOW are they opinionated!! And lord help the ones that go against the norm. Its crazy!! I mostly lurk there now, however i did find it extremely helpful to visit and chat there while pregnant. Symptoms and dr visits with twins can be so different than with a singleton, we all shared that in common and it was nice to compare notes.

My DH always laughs at me b/c I'll be telling about something baby related I've learned or read and he'll ask where I learned that. When I tell him the "lab board", he just thinks its hysterical!! He thnks its so funny that i get baby advice from a dog board. He just doesn't understand how great you all are!!!

It's so true! This is the only internet chat board I have ever joined. Didn't realize it was so much friendlier than the rest until I started checking out baby boards!! Figures the lab lovers would be nice folks...

Heck I get my regular news here too LOL. My hubby asks how I heard such and such so early since it hadnt seen it. I say the lab board...I have noticed he has stopped asking.
