Shadow was abandoned at a Gas Station in North Carolina along with his 2 brothers. We don't know why or where he truly come from but we know he is our angel!

After loosing my uncle to cancer 12/6/07, we lost his beloved Siberian Husky, Lucky in 2008 to cancer. My family was still grieving these losses but I had my heart set on another dog...

My Fiance and I are getting married 7/31/10 and we were casually talking about getting a lab, after our marriage. However, plans changed when I found out about a local rescue in Rhode Island that rescues dogs from high kill shelters.

I came across Shadows story and picture and that was it - I had to try and adopt him. Within 8 hours, they had already checked our references and we were approved! We received our blessing on July 11, 2009!

We absolutely made the best decision in adopting him - he is full of unconditional love and is one of the reasons I wake up happy every morning. He loves our rescue cat as well and they actually sleep together at night!
