No, just wishing you lots of luck and good health!
There is a Facebook page for a local therapy dog (a Golden) who is going through chemo right now. I know they feed her special foods (I think raw tripe, but I'm not sure) and do certain things for her on chemo days. It's sort of detailing her daily life, how they are coping, etc. It's more uplifting than not. You might find it helpful. Here is the link.
I have no experience, just sending good thoughts and positive vibes!
All good thoughts for Fran. From what I have read. dogs go thru chemo very well. You might what to quiz your vet in more detail as what to expect and watch out for.
MOJO for Fran and you to get thru this easily!!
Sending you good MOJO!
That went really well! Apparently only 10% of dogs experience any kind of side effects and then that's 3-5 days after the treatment. I have cerenia and flagyl on hand for that just in case.
Her cancer is splenic sarcoma. Apparently it's pretty rare, so much so that there's an online forum for oncologists to report on it if they see it along with effective treatments. If it's high level, they always do chemo and hers is so she got her first round today.
Thank you all so much for your well wishes. I'm very encouraged by how that went.
Sending good thoughts your way. Our Midnight was on chemo and experienced seizures as a result. It is a rare side effect, but just wanted you to be aware.
So happy to hear Fran is doing well!!
So glad it went well!
Sending more mojo and prayers for sweet Fran.
Is this IV chemo? I know some chemo is just done with pills and that's all I've had experience with. I hope things go well for Fran and you.
