Doggie leg warmer
Remy is a few days post opt from his TPLO and it is so cold outside! It's about 10 below zero. Of course he goes outside to potty but first MUST lick up some snow....then find the perfect spot to potty...... then his leg obviously is getting uncomfortable with the cold. Then he sits to lick it warm then its back up to look for the right spot..... I really wish there was a dog leg warmer... I laugh as I think it, but I bet if someone could make one they might have a good market;)

If you've got a long enough scarf, you could drape it over his butt and spiral it around both legs...safety pin it in place on both legs...and pin it to a coat to keep it from sliding back behind his butt. Maybe not something you'd go out in public with, but it might serve the purpose for those backyard potty trips. If he's going to sit in snow, though, that would just get it wet. They make full body/leg neoprene (I think) suits, but that's probably a struggle to get on...not good post-surgery. I've also seen front-leg warmers that go up over the shoulder (like my scarf trick) but not for back legs. They're probably out there on someone's website.

What about cutting the arm off an old sweatshirt or sweater or the leg off an old pair of sweat pants? I wonder if there would be a way to leave the waistband on the sweats but cut off the leg that isn't needed and some of the extra material in the seat area so there's something to help hold it on but not get in the way of him peeing or pooping? You might try a pair of boy's sweatpants so the legs would be shorter. Or maybe somehow cut off the waist and body part of the pants but leave the crotch intact and both legs on so you put it on the surgical leg and stretch it across his back and put his other leg in and there's no fabric near his "undercarriage". I didn't know how else to illustrate what I'm suggesting, and I've never tried to do this, I'm just winging it here, but here's a drawing of what I was trying to describe. Let us know if you figure out a good solution!

How about a snowsuit? Some of these look loose enough in the leg to be workable.
