Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy/Galliprant
Instead of making two separate posts I decided to combine the two.
Has anyone heard of and/or done Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy or used Galliprant?
My holistic vet mentioned the PRP as a possibility for Shasta's arthritis, etc. They take blood from the animal, spin it up to separate out the plasma and then inject it back into the dog (along acupuncture points I believe).
The Galliprant is supposed to be a new and better anti inflammatory with much less side effects than your typical Rimadyl/Novox/etc.
It's pricey, but if it works and doesn't have all the issues of the normal anti inflammatories, I may have to give it a go. :)
