Photo posting help
Hi Woody,
Two questions about posting photos,
1. I've got a photo in Photobucket, uploaded easily from my computer, but for some reason I am unable to copy the IMG code to use in posting photos to the forum. I've tried using both Safari and Chrome unsuccessfully. (Firefox won't let me sign on to the forum, saying it's not a secure site, btw) Is this a known problem and haven't you recommended some other photo sharing site because of issues with PB? If so, can you tell us what other options might work better?
2. I can post photos from my computer into a regular forum thread using that little picture icon on the tool bar. It gives you a choice of posting from your computer or posting a URL. However, in the Private Messages area, you can only attach a photo, again using that little photo icon, if you have a URL. I'm just wondering why that is, apparently this is the first time I've tried to send a photo by PM.
Thanks for you help!
Sue

Thanks for the message I was away for most the day.
1. FireFox - seems to be saying a lot of sites are insecure but it still allowed me to sign into the forum. I was unaware of this and will have to look into it more. It has something to do with the way websites pass certificates to the browser
2. To post photos I have been just uploading them to Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet and then right click on the photo and copy the url and then paste it into the URL line when the box comes up. You should be able to do the same in PhotoBucket. You don't need the actual code. Just the URL.
3. I think I disabled it in PM's because we didn't have the space to host a ton of photos and PM"s were pretty busy at one time. Really they way to go is to host them elsewhere as the website doesn't have the space to host a ton of photos and I delete them from time to time.

OK, thanks! I'll get back to work on this. BTW, I use a Mac so I'm going to have to figure out the right click equivalent. Hey, I might learn something new!
eta: Yay! It worked! Thank you!

And, I was able to sign on to Firefox. For some reason it seems to have stored an old password that I have to erase before entering the new password and I hadn't done that.
