I must be off my rocker....

Totaled out my 2002 Envoy the other week (ran thru a ditch in the rain), it had 24100K miles on it but ran and drove almost new and the insurance paid me a decent amount. I've been looking for another SUV and settled on the GMC Terrain with the V6 the problem is anything newer than 2013 around here is way too expensive for what I'm willing to spend. I did find one that I'm willing to take a look at and buy but it's in Tennessee about 500 miles away or 7.5 hrs of driving (each way). The CarFax was good too and already have the OTD (out the door) price if I like the way it drives. So late tomorrow night I guess we'll take off and see if I come back with a car.

How did the trip go?

The trip went well, long but went well and we did buy the car. We left the house at Saturday morning at 1am, had to sit on the highway waiting for a wreck to clear up for 2hrs but finally made it there at 10:30am. Looked over the car test drove it did all the paperwork to make it ours and started the 8hr journey back to southern Alabama. The car drove really well almost too well as I found myself in the 85 to 90 mph quite a few times even though I had the cruise control on 74mph my foot was resting on the gas pedal I guess I was unconsciously pressing on the pedal causing me to speed. We made it home around 9pm Saturday night tired and rode hard a 20 hour day. Here's a few pictures of the car.

Congrats .Btw I found a fjr1300 online.a 2006 with 6000 miles for 3800 in Virginia . The local motorcycles of the similar vintage had 30k miles and 1000 bucks more. It is 600 miles from house to this motorcycle.
Put 100 down on it. Could not find a dog sitter. So me ,wife and gigi went to uhaul. Got a trailer .We left home at 7 pm Friday .Got to va at 3 am.gigi was so good . Then we sleep in a red roof inn. Btw red roof inn does does not have a pet fee . We woke up loaded the motorcycle by 10 am and we're back by 9 pm. Again gigi did 1000 miles in 24 hrs and was a trooper.

My initial plan was to grey hound down and ride it home. But take the way of blue ridge parkway and catskills in a round about way for 4 days. But Massachusetts does not have a temp plate concept....Damn state . Also I was a bit sick for a 4 day ride.
