Somebody had his first Gotcha day today!!!!
Hard to believe it's been a year since I made the trek to Yakima, Washington and back, in 36 hours (I'd never, ever do that again, would make it at least a three day trip!!!) and brought this fluffy little ball of yellow fur home. I was very happy to be able to meet Anne and her pack of lovely Lab girls, and really cannot thank her enough for letting me have one of her puppies.
Brooks has met/exceeded my expectations. He is very smart, learns very quickly, and is a true to standard biddable and eager to please Labrador. He is a worker through and through. Anne told me that this boy would test me, and boy was she right. Brooks was fortunate for all that I had learned with training Bruce. Had Bruce and I not had our journey, I don't know that I would have been quite as ready to train a very high drive dog that just want to WORK. He is doing very well with his obedience training, and after some initial struggles, he is starting to click with field training. Anne has been very helpful with working through a couple training issues, as has IRISHWHISTLER. Bot7/7/h been spot on with advice and recommendations, and I feel very fortunate that have them to help us along our way.

I took these pics this afternoon, and it was miserably hot, and this boy does not like the heat. I had planned on taking some pics this evening, but the weather didn't want to cooperate, it's been raining off and on for the past couple hours. So hopefully I'll get a few more tomorrow!
I don't what the issue is with photobucket, but if you click the message it will take you to the pics.
