Difficult Weekend with Rock
It hasn't been a great week with his falls last weekend (my post in health section). but this weekend he has some quirkly worrisome behaviours. I'm just feeling down, but trying to focus on today (and the positives), implement things that could maybe help and hope for the best.
His right shoulder is definitely bothering him and seems to be getting worse. He is making noise sometimes when he breaths (but breathing fine).
Friday he was whining at the bottom of the stairs when he saw me bring his food up (to make kongs). VERY unlike himm, he doesn't whine.
Yesterday he was very drooly. He's been more licky-lick lately but actual litteral drooling is new.
Tday we have our first snow (thoug not the coldest day) and his back end went way down on the walk around the block (short block to potty). He had the balloon boots on. I am HOPING it is just the cold that got to his back feet and that boots will clear that up (an issue from last year just not at earlier temps). He was wearing his jacket too. I didn't go right to the boots due to issues iwth him slipping.
PLUS, I walked him while holding his harness and it hurt my back and he wasn't impressed either :( It was a miserable walk all around. I am scared he will fall again. I will try some other leash arrangement to see if I can keep him safe, and make it more enjoyable for both of us.
HE is still himself for the most part and getting up, attentive to me (well for food). Generally keen to go out and potty. So I haven't rushed to the ER :P
This is mostly me being whiny. I will try some changes and we see the vet Tuesday. I will seriously discuss trying nsaids-pain management beyond gabapentin and hollistic stuff.
