I think there are dogs that also like to pose. I don't know how they know they're being held up for admiration via that phone/box thinger... but they do.
All mine have to do is hear a camera opening up and they're sitting and staring at the person holding it. I've had some interesting experiences with picture-taking strangers...most of whom really didn't want pictures of dogs.
The only time it's tough to get a picture I want is if they're sleeping...the camera wakes them up before I can shoot the pic.
Obedient daughters is nice too. ;)
Great photos!
It's something I practice with my dogs haha. Literally: with penny it was step by step for me to get her to stay in a sit while I kneeled to get a photo!
I didn't master getting the smiles (I had a trick for rocky but it was overused and stopped working). With pen I would get her running first ;) A good photographer helps (meaning not just good at taking photos and editing but good at getting dog's attention)
I agree! My prior chocolate lab, Mocha, knew who was holding the camera and how to get their attention. On one occasion I took my boat to Bristol, RI to an Elks club that has a private dock and pretty decent luncheon specials on the weekend. I left Mocha on the boat while we went upstairs to have lunch. In the middle of lunch one of my friends says, "Oh boy, look at Mocha. She crashed the wedding photo shoot!" I about had a heart attack figuring the club and the wedding party were going to kill me. I ran down and the photographer's assistant stopped me and asked if she could stay just a bit longer for a few more photos. The bride and groom both loved dogs and after Mocha crashed their photos said their first dog was going to be a chocolate lab.
Love the photos by the way !
Wonderful pictures. LOL at Mocha crashing and getting to stay for the wedding.
I had taken both Coleman and Bailey though obedience classes. had them both in a sit stay so I could get their picture. When I had the pictures printed out I took them to their trainer Joyce, so she could have one. She stood their looking at the picture and asked how I got them to sit and stay for their pictures, I laughed and told her I wanted my money back for all the training classes. We all had a good laugh about that one. :)
