You may remember this post a few weeks ago and that there was a discussion about dash cams. I bought one, the Street Guardian SGGCX2, and installed it just before a trip to the States. I went with the 64GB MicroSD card, which will store about 7.5 hours of video before it begins over-writing the oldest segments. Each segment is about 3 minutes long.
It was fairly easy to mount and very easy to set up. I couldn't upload a video to my Shutterfly account even though the *.mov format is supported. Here's a screen cap of while I waited to clear Canadian customs. As you see the licence on the car in front is clearly readable. I had the audio on and my audiobook was clearly understandable as was my, ahem, occasionally colourful commentary on other drivers. It has a GPS which I think shows on the screen if you want.

It's not cheap but the performance and service reviews were excellent and mine arrived less than a week after ordering it. I ordered it directly from streetguardian.ca which was preferable to Amazon.
