UPS Dogs group- smile for the day
If you belong to Facebook, I recommend following UPS Dogs. UPS drivers share photos and stories of their daily interactions with dogs on their route, and the posts are sure to make you smile. A recent post:
Hunger.
Neglect.
Malnourishment.
The bitter privations of a rough life spent desperately trying to fend off starvation on the mean streets.
Introducing Sadie, a dog whose plaintive howls and mournful stares at the biscuit box would melt a heart of stone and convince even the most hardened skeptic of the urgency of her plight.
But there is a discrepancy in Sadie’s sad tale of woe. Her rotund girth, ample posterior and waddling gait all conspire to betray the fact that, difficult though it may be to believe, Sadie has been less than honest with me about the true extent of her nutritional shortcomings.
A brief conversation with the FedEx and Post Office drivers who deliver to Sadie’s home confirmed my suspicions and uncovered the sordid truth; this devious deceptress had been shamelessy hustling each one of us out of 3 biscuits per day!
With the true facts uncovered, and in the interest of keeping her healthy, an agreement was reached by all to employ the “thirdsies” trick on her as a counter to her malevolent manipulations. Instead of three biscuits, she now gets one biscuit broken into three pieces. Drastic measures to be sure, but all tactics are fair when fighting the biscuit war!
